The C Gear is a new feature in Pokémon Black & White games. It sits on the bottom screen where the Pokétch sat in the Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum games. You will get it after finishing a task for Professor Makomo. One of it's features is that it is constantly looking for your friends so you can meet them. It looks on local wireless, InfraRed and WiFi. The feature can be turned off though.

Another feature is while you are on the lookout if you go near another person who is playing Pokémon Black or White and they have their C Gear turned on, you will automatically connect to them and recieve details about them. You will get various detail like their trainer details and how they are doing in battles, it will even inform you if their Pokémon have low HP.

Another feature of the C Gear is you have the ability to sync your game with the Global Link. This will allow you to send Pokémon to the Global Link and will allow you to recieve Pokémon.
